Part-Time Beverage Supervisor
DESCRIPTION
The Beverage Supervisor assists the Beverage Manager with overseeing set-up and teardown, staffing, product, and supplies as they relate to beverages for catered events. With direction from Catering & Beverage Manager and/or GM, oversees cash handling of beverage staff and serving of alcoholic beverages during catered events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises beverage staff during catered events at the direction of Beverage Manager or GM
- Responsible for ensuring staff members check guests' IDs to verify the minimum age requirement and are serving beverages responsibly in accordance with local/state/federal regulations
- Responsible for overseeing the service of beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages
- Provides a professional presence for guests/clients during events and responds appropriately to requests

Part-Time Catering Barback
DESCRIPTION
The Catering Barback is responsible for having bars set up & prepped prior to catered events. The Catering Barback will assist with receiving and storage of product and will prepare & stock bars. All equipment will be maintained, stored, cleaned, and organized. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for having bars moved and set up according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) on time for catered events. This includes transitioning a bar setup to an alternate location during an event
- Accountable for all received inventory & product storage while maintaining a clean, safe, & organized bar area
- Transport all required beverages to the bars for catering events, including, but not limited to, beer, wine, liquor, garnishes, ice, and mixer products
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly in accordance with company policy, including, on occasion, "slowing down” or "cutting off” beverage service to certain guests

Part-Time Catering Bartender

The Catering Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Part-Time Cook

The Cook assists in the preparation and production of food for the venue at catered functions. Responsible for the setup, sanitation, cleaning, and closing of the workstation area. - Assists with cooking (frying) of food products utilizing a variety of equipment: convection ovens, fryers, steamers, among others

The Concessions Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Concessions Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Portion control, food waste, and sanitation are additional areas that the Concessions Cook must be aware of while operating in the kitchen.

The Concessions Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing and producing high-quality Casey's pizzas and supporting food preparation for concession operations. Assists with food production, product rotation, inventory organization, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. Ensures all food is prepared safely, consistently, and according to Casey's and OVG standards while supporting efficient event operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare pizza dough, toppings, sauces, and other ingredients according to Casey's recipes and company standards
- Assemble and cook Casey's pizzas while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Properly rotate products using First In, First Out (FIFO) methods and report low inventory levels to management
- Ensure food is prepared and served safely while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Part-Time Concessions Warehouse Worker
DESCRIPTION
The Concession Warehouse Worker is responsible for the receipt and storage of all food, beverages, and related products and equipment received at Iowa Events Center in Casey’s Center and EMC Expo Center. The inventory and security of all items are under the control of these employees. Employees must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event-based schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checks all incoming items against purchase order sheets, checking details such as weight count, quality, and specification
- Ensures that all items are received and placed in their storage location at the proper temperature
- Deliver items from the warehouse to concession stands and place inventory in a proper fashion using the FIFO method of rotation (First-In-First-Out)

Part-Time Dishwashing & Catering Steward
DESCRIPTION
The Dishwasher & Catering Steward is responsible for the sanitation of all kitchen equipment, cooking utensils, dishware, glassware, and silverware, as well as the kitchen. They are also responsible for all back-of-house areas being set and ready prior to events. The Dishwasher & Catering Steward will assist in pulling and staging all equipment prior to setup as well as clean-up after the event. All catering equipment will be maintained, stored, and inventoried. Assist in other areas of catering as required. Part-Time Guest Services Event Staff

Guest Services Event Staff are on-call, per-event employees who will act as the primary providers of direct service to guests as they are entertained at the Iowa Events Center. They are responsible for providing a safe environment for our guests and ensuring all service needs are met. Part Time Housekeeping - Building Attendant

The Part Time Housekeeping - Building Attendant is an event-driven support position that works in the areas of housekeeping, room sets, and grounds maintenance at the Iowa Events Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute accurate and timely completion of cleaning checklists
- Before, during and after event cleaning to include removal of trash, spills, vacuuming, etc.

Part-Time Lead Catering Server

The Lead Catering Server leads hourly event staff at catered events as directed by the Catering Managers. Responsible for serving guests in the venue dining areas at catered functions. Part-Time Maintenance Technician
DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for various equipment and facility maintenance needs. This position will assist in a variety of non-skilled duties as operations and events require. Accountable to the Lead Engineer, Asst. Chief Engineer, and Chief Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for event engineering needs such as, but not limited to, event set-ups & changeovers, laying power, unlocking doors, listening, and responding appropriately to radio calls for engineering assistance
- Performs maintenance and repair of facility doors, hardware, millwork, seats, furniture, rails, staging, fixtures, and associated equipment
- Participates in routine preventative maintenance on equipment; oils and lubricates fans, motors, pumps, and generators; and cleans screens, strainers, burners, and automatic controls as directed
- Accurately and timely performs tasks to ensure the highest level of efficiency in the operation, returning equipment to operational status as directed

Part-Time Parking Lot Attendant
DESCRIPTION
Parking Lot Attendant is an on-call, per event employee who assists in direction of customers in and around the Iowa Events Center parking lots during events. This position is responsible for handling a high volume of cash and credit transactions in a responsible manner. This employee must have excellent attendance to ensure the success of the Parking Department during events held at the Iowa Events Center.

The Guest Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for the Iowa Events Center, providing exceptional customer service and professional communication to all callers and visitors. This on-call, per-event position is responsible for answering and directing incoming calls, responding to inquiries, and assisting guests with event-related information in a courteous and efficient manner. The Guest Services Representative will maintain a thorough knowledge of current and upcoming events, facility operations, and staff contacts to ensure accurate information and prompt assistance. In addition, this role supports internal departments by routing calls to appropriate personnel, relaying messages, and providing general administrative support as needed. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple inquiries while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

The Ticket Office Representative is a part-time, on-call per-event employee who is responsible for the processing and distribution of ticket sales in an accurate and timely manner at all Iowa Events Center facilities. Event Manager
DESCRIPTION
The Event Manager will manage every aspect of their assigned events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; hire, train, schedule, and supervise all event staff; oversee building security and interact with local public safety officials to ensure events run smoothly; coordinate communication between event staff/security and delegate assignments; and be responsible for and ensure overall customer and lessee satisfaction and experience.

Operations Intern
DESCRIPTION
This Operations Intern will work closely with the Operations Department through hands-on learning. This will include how to operate the facility and events through a variety of disciplines, like set-up and teardown of events, event management, housekeeping, scheduling, recruitment, budgeting, capital projects, and inventory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in scheduling personnel and tasks for day-to-day operations as well as event set-up, event management, and event teardown
- Shadow Operations Supervisors gain an understanding of how to manage, direct, and motivate operations crew before, during, and after an event
