Part-Time Concessions Warehouse Worker
DESCRIPTION
The Concessions Warehouse Worker is responsible for the receipt and storage of all food, beverage and related product and equipment received at Iowa Events Center in Casey’s Center and EMC Expo Center. The inventory and security of all items is under the control of these employees. Employees must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event based schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checks all incoming items against purchase order sheets checking details such as weight count, quality, and specification
- Ensures that all items are received and placed in their storage location at the proper temperature
- Deliver items from warehouse to concession stands and place inventory in a proper fashion using the FIFO method of rotation (First-In-First-Out)
- Assist Concession Managers in preparation for event needs

Part-Time Concession Worker
DESCRIPTION
The Concessions Worker is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverage items to guests in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. This role focuses on delivering quality food, excellent guest service, and maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas. The position requires consistent attendance and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process guest transactions by taking orders, assembling items, and completing sales using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with company standards for quality, presentation, and safety
- Learn and operate concession equipment including grills, deep-vat fryers, steamers, and ovens
- Maintain appropriate stock and supply levels and communicate low inventory items to the Concessions Stand Manager.

Part Time Housekeeping - Building Attendant
DESCRIPTION
The Part Time Housekeeping - Building Attendant is an event-driven support position that works in the areas of housekeeping, room sets, and grounds maintenance at the Iowa Events Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute accurate and timely completion of cleaning checklists
- Before, during and after event cleaning to include removal of trash, spills, vacuuming, etc.
- Responsible for safe use of various supplies including variety of cleaning chemicals, mops, brooms, shovels, and scrapers
- Operate an assortment of equipment including buffers/burnishers, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, and others as needed

Part-Time Parking Lot Attendant
DESCRIPTION
Parking Lot Attendant is an on-call, per event employee who assists in direction of customers in and around the Iowa Events Center parking lots during events. This position is responsible for handling a high volume of cash and credit transactions in a responsible manner. This employee must have excellent attendance to ensure the success of the Parking Department during events held at the Iowa Events Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and direct customers entering parking lots
- Communicate parking information to the public
- Accept cash or credit payment. Count back correct change as needed, and use credit machine with personal identification number and building codes
- Monitor lot during events, immediately contacting supervisor as issues arise

Part-Time Set Up/Teardown - Building Attendant
DESCRIPTION
The part time Event Set Up/Teardown - Building Attendant is an event-driven support position that works in the areas of show care, room sets, event teardown, and arena conversions at the Iowa Events Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set-up and teardown of events as directed including staging, tables, chairs, pipe-and-drape, skirting and other event items as required for events in Community Choice Convention Center, EMC Expo Center, Casey's Center, and all other areas of the facility
- Work individually and as a team to complete required projects and tasks contributing to a professional, teamwork atmosphere
- Handle and set folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery poles, drapes and skirting
- Complete room sets accurately and timely

Operations Manager
DESCRIPTION
The Operations Manager assumes management responsibility for all services and activities involved in the operations of all arena and convention spaces; providing direct supervision of all full time and part time hourly employees in the Operations Department, specifically in the areas of housekeeping, room sets, show care and conversions at the Iowa Events Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management in areas of planning, directing, coordinating and review of work plans for facility operations
- Review, interpret and communicate with other management staff on complex event documents to forecast staffing and equipment needs for all arena and convention events
- Coordinate and communicate complex department schedules to ensure proper facility coverage, monitoring labor costs
- Represent the company with temporary agencies, contractors, and vendors in a professional manner
