Part-Time Concessions Cashier
DESCRIPTION
The Concessions Cashier prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Uses a POS (point of sale system) and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction
- Ability to build orders, prepare food, and knowledge in all areas of concessions operations
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes
- Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly. Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages

Part-Time Concessions Cook
DESCRIPTION
The Concessions Cook is responsible for prep work and cooking hot food items in the Concessions Department. Position assists with set-up, dishes and responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized work space in accordance with company specifications. - Prepares food in quantities as directed by the Concessions Manager or immediate supervisor

Part-Time Dishwasher & Catering Steward
DESCRIPTION
The Dishwasher & Catering Steward is responsible for the sanitation of all kitchen equipment, cooking utensils, dishware, glassware and silverware, as well as the kitchen. They are also responsible for all back of house areas being set and ready prior to events. The Steward will assist in pulling and staging all equipment prior to set-up, during the event and during clean-up. All catering equipment will be maintained, stored and inventoried. Assist in other areas of Catering as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate dish machine equipment & wash any items not dishwasher safe by hand
- Assist in keeping dock areas clean and organized
- Clean up spills and/or breakage on the event floor
- Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, safety and employment regulations in accordance with company standards. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen for the food and beverage operation

Part-Time Guest Services Event Staff
DESCRIPTION
A Guest Service Attendant is an on-call, per event employee who will act as primary provider of direct service to guests as they are entertained at the Iowa Events Center. They are responsible for providing a safe environment for our guests and ensuring all service needs are met. Guest Service Attendants will work in positions as needed including; usher, ticket taker, suite staff and door guards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and scan tickets as guests enter the building amd usher guests to their seats
- Provide directional assistance to guests throughout the facility
- Report actual/suspected violations of IEC policies, procedures, rules or regulations to your supervisor
- Complete an incident report on a timely basis, as required

Part Time Housekeeping - Building Attendant
DESCRIPTION
The Part Time Housekeeping - Building Attendant is an event-driven support position that works in the areas of housekeeping, room sets, and grounds maintenance at the Iowa Events Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute accurate and timely completion of cleaning checklists
- Before, during and after event cleaning to include removal of trash, spills, vacuuming, etc.
- Responsible for safe use of various supplies including variety of cleaning chemicals, mops, brooms, shovels, and scrapers
- Operate an assortment of equipment including buffers/burnishers, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, and others as needed

Part-Time Parking Lot Attendant
DESCRIPTION
Parking Attendant is an on-call, per event employee who assists in direction of customers in and around the Iowa Events Center parking lots during events. This position is responsible for handling a high volume of cash and credit transactions in a responsible manner. This employee must have excellent attendance to ensure the success of the Parking Department during events held at the Iowa Events Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and direct customers entering parking lots, communicate parking information to the public
- Accept cash or credit payment. Count back correct change as needed
- Monitor lot during events, immediately contacting supervisor as issues arise
- Provide positive and friendly experience to all customers

Part-Time Set Up/Teardown - Building Attendant
DESCRIPTION
The part time Event Set Up/Teardown - Building Attendant is an event-driven support position that works in the areas of show care, room sets, event teardown, and arena conversions at the Iowa Events Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set-up and teardown of events as directed including staging, tables, chairs, pipe-and-drape, skirting and other event items as required for events in Community Choice Convention Center, EMC Expo Center, Casey's Center, and all other areas of the facility
- Work individually and as a team to complete required projects and tasks contributing to a professional, teamwork atmosphere
- Handle and set folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery poles, drapes and skirting

Part-Time Warehouse Worker
DESCRIPTION
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for the receipt and storage of all food, beverage and related product and equipment received at Iowa Events Center in Casey's Center. The inventory and security of all items is under the control of these employees. Employees must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event based schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate delivery and inventory records
- Ensure that all items are received and placed in their storage location at the proper temperature
- Check all incoming items against purchase order sheets checking details such as weight count, quality, and specification
- Deliver items according to concession stands and place inventory in a proper fashion using the FIFO method of rotation (First-In-First-Out)

Banquet Supervisor
DESCRIPTION
The Banquet Supervisor oversees all aspects of a banquet or event, including set-up, food presentation, serving, and cleanup while focusing on detail and quality presentation and customer service. Banquet supervisors are also responsible for training and coaching of the banquet staff.

Event Manager

The Event Manager will manage every aspect of their assigned events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; hire, train, schedule and supervise all event staff; oversee building security and interact with local public safety officials to ensure events run smoothly; coordinate communication between event staff/security and delegate assignments; be responsible for and ensure overall customer and lessee satisfaction and experience.

Operations Intern
DESCRIPTION
The Operations Intern will work closely with the Operations Department through hands-on learning. This will include how to operate the facility and events through a variety of disciplines like: set-up and teardown of events, event management, housekeeping, scheduling, recruitment, budgeting, capital projects, and inventory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in scheduling personnel and tasks for day-to-day operations as well as event set-up, event management, and event teardown.
- Shadow Operations Supervisors to gain an understanding of how to manage, direct, and motivate operations crew before, during, and after an event.
- Informative training with buffer, rider sweepers / scrubbers, walk behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, forklifts and other various equipment.
- Learn how to supervise crew setting up for events using folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, staging and drapes.
