Four Days of Inspiration for Homeowners and Gardeners February 23 - 26, 2023 at the Iowa Events Center
Des Moines, Iowa (December 12, 2022) – The largest and most successful home show in Central Iowa is back and bringing a taste of spring with it. The Des Moines Home + Garden Show returns to the Iowa Events Center for four days, Thursday, Feb. 23 through Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023.
Celebrating its 45th year, The Des Moines Home + Garden Show is sure to inspire homeowners with more than 300 experts sharing new ideas, innovative products and services, and stunning displays you can use for your next home project. The event boasts great deals and shopping experiences related to home, gardening, remodeling, and home décor.
Highlights of the 2023 Des Moines Home + Garden Show include:
Our Featured Celebrity Speaker Mike Pyle, HGTV’s “Inside Out”
Mike has been in the landscape industry for more than 20 years, specializing in everything from design to construction to outdoor furnishings and firepits.
He now owns a landscape design firm in Orange County, California, managing a team of designers and projects around the country. This has allowed him to gather knowledge on a variety of climates and led to him creating a unique, drought-tolerant landscape aesthetic for his clients.
For the past two years, Mike has co-hosted HGTV’s ‘Inside Out’ where he works with clients on their home renovations, balancing their priorities, and budgets to create a stunning space.

Feature Gardens
Take a step into spring as you explore 7 featured gardens at the Des Moines Home + Garden Show. Created by local landscapers, the featured gardens will provide inspiration for show-goers to grow their own home gardens into works of art. You’ll find new landscaping styles, pools, waterfalls, a wide variety of plants, tips for functionality, and plenty of gardening tips from the landscapers who created them!
Rose Farm Inspiration Stage
Take a break from the exhibit floor with a stop at the Rose Farm Inspiration Stage. You’ll find presentations ranging from farm-to-table dinners with award-winning chefs, the art of pie making, farm school for kids, and all things floral. Karrie Rose, the owner, will share her story of building a modern-day farmstead, where southern hospitality is at the heart of Rose Farm.
Made in Iowa Market

FastPaks Micro Rooms
Small rooms, big possibilities! FastPaks are standalone, outdoor rooms that can be designed for a variety of uses ranging from backyard offices, a children’s playroom, relaxing oasis room, or even a greenhouse. Come check out the endless possibilities as these micro rooms are portable, affordable, and sustainable.

Hero Day – Thursday, Feb. 23
As a thank you to all active military personnel, veterans, firefighters, police officers, medical professionals, and other first responders receive FREE admission. Simply bring a valid ID. One complimentary ticket per ID.
Teacher Day – Sunday, Feb. 26
To celebrate teachers and school staff for their dedication and service to children, all educators will receive FREE admission with a valid ID. One complimentary ticket per ID.
