Part-Time Audio/Visual Operator

DESCRIPTION

A/V Operator is a per event employee who assists the Production Manager in all aspects of AV needs for Iowa Events Center during and in preparation for events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fulfill event requirements on AV needs including but not limited to areas of: camera operation, audio, replay playback, graphics, lights, and technical direction as events require
  • Understand and use audio/visual engineering and signal flow knowledge to accurately setup and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment with limited supervision
  • Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly and in sufficient detail to minimize troubleshooting steps
  • Assist with video production of all games and events (where required) in house

Part-Time Box Office Attendant

DESCRIPTION

Ticket Office Representative is a part time, on call per event employee who is responsible for the processing and distribution of ticket sales in an accurate and timely manner at all Iowa Events Center facilities. Responsible for providing accurate information to the general public, addressing any concerns and is committed to superior customer service.

Part-Time Event Setup Laborer

DESCRIPTION

A part-time Operations Event Setup Laborer (Building Attendant) is an event-driven support position that works in areas of room sets, event teardown, and arena conversions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

DESCRIPTION

First Aid will provide basic medical assistance at the Iowa Events Center during events.

Part-Time Guest Services Attendant

DESCRIPTION

A Guest Service Attendant is an on-call, per event employee who will act as primary provider of direct service to guests as they are entertained at the Iowa Events Center and Wells Fargo Arena. They assist in providing a safe environment for our guests and ensure all service needs are met. Guest Service Attendants will work in positions as needed including: Usher, Ticket Taker, Suite Staff, and Door Guards.

DESCRIPTION

A part-time Operations Housekeeping employee (Building Attendant) is an event-driven support position that works in areas of housekeeping and show care.

Phone Operator is an on call; per event employee who represents the Iowa Events Center as initial contact for prospective clients and the general public both on the phone and in person. Description

A Cashier utilizes a cash register and accepts payment.  Prepares and serves concession items to guests.  Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests.  Ensures quality of food presentation. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

  • Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction

Catering Steward

Description

Under general supervision, the Catering Steward supports the Catering Department and is responsible for all back-of-house (BOH) areas including cleaning, organization, and set-up before, during, and after events.  This position is responsible for reviewing Banquet Event Orders pulling and staging all equipment based on these documents prior to event set-up; and ensuring the catering/banquet equipment is maintained, stored, and inventoried.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee a clean and organized back-of-house area to support the Catering operation
  • Responsible for the overall back-of-house areas cleanliness, organization, and team task productivity
  • Maintains consistent communication with managers on assignments, productivity, and task completion
  • Independently review complex Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and make decisions based on the information, including forecasting and pulling & setting-up upcoming needed equipment

Description

A Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. Description

  • Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items previously used so that they may be used again in clean condition, free of any contamination risk.

Description

The Warehouse employee is responsible for the receipt and storage of all food, beverage, and related product and equipment received at Iowa Events Center in Wells Fargo Arena. The inventory and security of all items is under the control of these employees. Employees must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event based schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Checks all incoming items against purchase order sheets checking details such as weight count, quality, and specification.
  • Ensures that all items are received and placed in their storage location at the proper temperature.
